Kasengejje Resource Centre
A–Z Children’s Charity has a resource center consisting of 7 rooms built on one acre of land in a community called Kasengejje. This is a rural community. This project is involved in empowering local community based organisations (CBOs) to fight HIV/AIDS. Another local partner NVIDA (NSUMBI VISION IN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION) is implementing this project. Activities include training workshops, developing a community trainers guide, a monthly outreach where a doctor and councillor visits the centre, a demonstration plot where crops are grown, with the local community getting involved. The community has set up a committee, which has full responsibility running the centre.
