Help a HIV positive Child
This is Simon who you heard on the A-Z Children’s Charity FM 104 radio ad campaign.
Simon is 9 years old. He is HIV positive. When A-Z Children’s Charity found Simon he was very sick and he did not have very long to live. Now he is happy, healthy and he is regularly attending school.
Simon lives with his with 14 brothers and sisters in a two- roomed house with a mud floor. Simon’s brother Henry is also HIV positive. A-Z Children’s Charity helps not only Simon and Henry, but the whole family too. At the moment the family survives by growing crops. Simon’s mother died in 2004 and their father in April 2007, both due to AIDS.
What sponsorship means to Simon.
€10 a month will mean that Simon can access lifesaving anti-retroviral medication. This is the medicine that stops the HIV growing in Simon’s body. Without this medication Simon will die. This €10 will a month will also help Simon’s family buy extra nutritious food which is essential to helping Simon regain and maintain his health.
Please download the Pledge form now from here. Once you have filled it in please send it back to A-Z Children’s Charity Children’s HIV programme Campaign, PO Box 351, Waterford. For further information please call Caroline on 1850 812 820
