Do you have three to four weeks to spare?
Are you a teacher, nurse or somebody with general skills?
Would you like to work in a school, a clinic, in a library or in the community?
Would you like to work with orphans, vulnerable children or children infected with HIV?
Then please take five minutes to read what is involved in volunteering with A-Z Children’s Charity in Uganda.
A-Z Children’s Charity had 40 volunteers working on its various projects during 2007.
In 2008 A-Z Children’s Charity has placements available for 46 volunteers during the months of July and August.
Each volunteer placement is 4 weeks long. Therefore 23 volunteers will be working each month.
A volunteer must commit to a minimum of three weeks and begin working on the first date of the placement.
The dates and placement breakdowns are as follows: -
Nurses, general skills - 25th june- 26th July.
Teachers 1st July - 25th July.
5 nurses, 13 primary school teachers and 5 individuals with general skills
Nurses, general skills - 30 july- 26th August.
Teachers - 26th July- 22nd August.
5 nurses, 13 primary school teachers and 5 individuals with general skills
The placements are filled on a first come first served basis, subject to the suitability of a candidate. A place is guaranteed once an individual’s plane ticket is paid in full.
A-Z Children’s Charity will update the placement availability monthly. You can therefore see what vacancies are still available.
If you would like the opportunity to volunteer in Uganda, please e-mail your C.V. to info@azchildrenscharity.org
